The Heritage Walk

India was once referred to as the ‘Land of the Golden Bird’. The country was so rich not only in terms of wealth but also as a land of culture, traditions, heritage, art and architecture. India has seen a rule of different dynasties from thousands of years till the British era which ended in 1947 and India was recognized as an Independent country. Today the traces of the ancient era can be found behind the walls of ancient structures in each city and in the local streets. The bird’s eye view of the towns looks an art work of great artist. To walk and explore its street with an expert history guide adds more beauty to your feelings and perceptions.

The heritage walk in each is of 2 to 4 hours that includes to see ancient forts and palaces, active temples, live crowded bazaars which have lived thousands of years, people, culture, buildings and much more. This walk is definitely different from routine sightseeing as you are escorted by a history expert guide who has lived and in the streets of these cities. The itinerary also involves staying in heritage hotels across the country to experience how the Royals of the ancient era

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi | Day at Leisure

Welcome to India !

  • Arrival at Delhi International Airport. Our representative will meet and greet at the airport. Check in at one of the Heritage Hotels of Delhi. The hotel has a a history over a century.
  • Spend the rest of the evening at the luxury of the hotel. You are invited to join us over a hosted  drinks session where you are briefed on the rest of the journey and the history of India.
  • Over night at the Hotel.

Day 2: Delhi | Local Sightseeing

  • After morning breakfast , head towards the old Delhi city where we start our walk escorted by an expert historian , we start our walk from the  massive Red Fort, an ancient palace exploring the massive Mughal Dynasty that dominated the Indian subcontinent for years.
  • Later head towards one of the old Mughal Relics known as the Humayuns tomb which is massive piece of architecture . Later you are escorted to a beautiful British Architecture. A walk around the massive British complex.
  • We later head towards exploring the local markets of the city which was once a massive trade markets of many dynasties. A walk around the complex exploring the local culture and beauty of the local culture.
  • We end our journey with a walk to an age old historical temple.
  • Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 3:  Delhi | Agra | Jaipur

  • We take a packed breakfast early morning as we proceed towards the city of Love, Agra for a day trip. On arrival at Agra ,we later proceed toward the local streets of Agra from where we talk to the Taj Mahal, the monument of Love.
  • Later, a walk to the old town and streets where and explore the local culture and tradition of the city. Later, walk towards the magnificent Agra fort , which is yet another masterpiece of ancient Mughal Architecture.
  • We later proceed towards Jaipur.Check into your heritage hotel in Jaipur.
  • Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 4: Jaipur | Local sightseeing

  • The next morning after breakfast, we proceed towards the city. Accompanied by the historian we proceed towards the old city and streets of Jaipur.
  • Exploring the age old streets , we walk towards the ancient palace which is still the residence of the Royal Family of the city. The palace has been converted to a museum and is a perfect display of the lifestyle of the kings and queens of the past.
  • Later, we head towards the astronomical observatory which was built over a decade ago but the studies of which are still practiced internationally by modern day scientist. We invite you to join an Indian family over an Indian kitchen experience where you learn the art of Indian cooking in an Indian kitchen by an Indian homemaker.
  • Later, you are invited over dinner with the Indian family.
  • Overnight at the hotel

Day 5: Jaipur | Local Sightseeing

  • The next morning, proceed towards the Amber fort which is recognized as one of the most beautiful forts of the world. Accompanied by the historian, we take a long walk of the fort and discover the ancient art and architecture of the ancient city of Jaipur.
  • After exploring the fort, proceed towards the streets of the city where the real art and architecture of the ancient era is displayed by the local craftsmen who are indulged into the profession over a decade.
  • Evening reserved for a temple blessing ceremony in traditional Indian customs.
  • Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 6 : Jaipur | Jodhpur

  • After breakfast , we proceed towards the land of the Maharajas, Jodhpur.
  • Evening reserved for hosted cocktail session at our Heritage Hotel in  Jodhpur.
  • Overnight in Jodhpur.

Day 7: Jodhpur | Udaipur

  • The next morning, we go for village sightseeing in Jodhpur.
  • Later we proceed towards  the city of lakes, also referred to as the Venice of the east, Udaipur.
  • Arrival at Udaipur.  Check in at the ancient hotel situated in the middle of the lake for a decade. The Hotel was once the palace of the Royal family.
  • Evening at Leisure & Luxury of your hotel.

Day 8: Udaipur | Local sightseeing

  • After morning breakfast , we proceed towards the ancient city of Udaipur later accompanied by the historian, a walk towards the marvelous city palace which was the palace of the kings and queens of the ancient era now representing as a museum displaying the glimpse of the ancient era.
  • We later proceed towards the garden of the maids which is one of the key attractions of the city. Evening reserved for the boat ride. One can see the ancient fort lit with lights making it a beautiful view.
  • Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Udaipur to Delhi

  • Check out after breakfast. Back in Delhi, a spa treatment with our compliments for the couple. Evening dinner hosted by us for the feedback on the journey. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Delhi | Departure

  • After breakfast , check out and drop to the airport.
